Smart AV is becoming more commonplace in commercial buildings, and it’s no wonder. These integrated systems make your working experience smooth and seamless, allowing you to control your surroundings with a simple click of a button. It’s even possible to find residential properties that have become AV Smart Homes, optimising occupant comfort.
A smart building is when technology has been used to bring together various elements of security, facilities management, energy management, audiovisual experience and building management systems under one umbrella.
Where commercial buildings simply used to act as settings for people to sit and work, these integrated systems truly redefine how we build and define space. Buildings can deliver every service the occupants need, optimising the space to its fullest potential.
We design and install bespoke smart building solutions for both commercial and residential clients. We provide a flexible service, ranging from full home automation to single room media systems (i.e. a home cinema).
Whether you’re a corporate or private client, we communicate clearly with you around the potential solutions at each step to provide you with total confidence in the outcome.
d3 has an enviable reputation for bringing together live events, broadcast and corporate installation experience to deliver some of the UK’s best solutions.
We work to establish and fulfil our clients’ needs according to the following process:
An initial introduction, face-to-face with the client, to clearly define the project’s objectives and expectations. This allows us to scope out crucial information and sense the client’s individual character and personal requirements.
We create a bespoke specification for your requirement and present this to you. We have a “Change of Design Request” (CDR) process, which documents changes and preferences you make up to the final proposal, ensuring clarity for both parties. Once the project is signed off, we prepare for swift on-site delivery.
The entire project is carefully managed by d3 from design to completion. Relationships are established with any other on-site contractors, and a delivery programme is set out according to your agreed specifications. We work with known, top quality, trusted manufacturers to reflect all the relevant factors we have discussed.
Once the solution is delivered, d3 provides the relevant technical instruction and ongoing support.

Central Church acquired the iconic Central Hall in the heart of Edinburgh to accommodate the growing vision of what was formerly Morningside Baptist Church. The church desired to breathe new life into the building, creating a premier venue in the city centre.
We understood their aim of incorporating the necessary modern technological requirements while preserving its aesthetic appeal and historical heritage.
We worked with the venue to enhance both a large and small hall:
