Contact Our Team To Let Us Know Your Public AV Requirements
Whatever the requirement, whatever the scale, we have the expertise and track record to deliver the right, cost effective solution for central or local government requirements.
To demonstrate this, we have delivered nationally some of the most necessary and resilient AV solutions in the blue light sector, including Command and Control Spaces, Meeting and Collaboration spaces for the Scottish Ambulance Service. As part of the national command and control services for SAS around Scotland, d3 designed and delivered: multisite control rooms, presentation and training spaces, HD VC suites, digital signage, interactive technologies utilising Samsung video walls and panels, AMX control panels, Smart Interactive life size high definition visual communications (HDVC), and many additional solutions.
Our experience and expertise, built up over more than a dozen years, has given us unique insight as to when cost compromise is necessary and acceptable and when we need to push back and say the compromise will adversely affect the project.
Solutions we have installed for public sector clients include:
The d3 process
Whether a corporate or private client, we communicate clearly with you around the potential solutions at each step, to provide you with total confidence in the outcome.
Since our formation we have always worked to establish and fulfil our clients’ needs according to the following process:
3 Case Studies
1. Aytoun Town Hall, Auchterarder – Refurbishment of Performance and Meeting Spaces
The client project team, from Perth & Kinross Council, required a professionally designed integration of a fully-fledged conference/performance environment with professional audio and audio-visual solutions. The system installed would service all manner of presentations from lectures to drama performance and live bands, and was always to be of the highest quality for this former G8 Summit town.
The solutions provided by d3 included a d&b audiotechnik sound system, large screen projection, stage lighting design and AMX central control system for non-technical users.
"Having experienced many AV contractors over many years it was imperative we had people on the project team who knew what they were doing. The black art of Pro audio and audio-visual disciplines was made simple for us, on budget and with great confidence. The end users are excited about its use". Project Manager
2. Campsie Memorial Trust Hall
This referral, through the trade, was to support the Campsie project team in their bid for Lottery funding. The consultancy supported a professional bid application, which was ultimately successful: a flexible lighting, Pro-Audio, projection and control solution were installed in 2011, establishing the hall as a `fit for use` venue, which continues to provide a quality service to the local community.

Douglas Chappelle, Project Co-ordinator, Campsie Memorial Hall:
“When Campsie Memorial Hall was taken over by the community in December 2010 the management committee were keen to make an impact as soon as possible. The hall can comfortably seat 200 people and has a good-sized stage. Its full potential was not being realised due to the out of date sound and light equipment.
In order to rejuvenate the hall and increase its appeal an entry was made to the Jubilee People`s Millions for funding to install a PA system, stage lighting and a projection system.
When we had found that we had progressed to the second stage of the process we had to move quickly to find a partner to interpret our dreams. d3 were identified as a candidate and quickly established themselves as preferred supplier to deliver the solution if the bid won.
After an initial site visit it was obvious that the team at d3 understood our vision clearly and accurately interpreted our ideas. They also managed to deliver the parts of the solution that we didn’t know we needed, and were able to deliver on our requirement that the system could work on two levels - switch on, plug in and go - as well as the more technical live venue mode.
In just two weeks we had a state-of-the-art sound system, wonderful stage lighting and an HD projection system for our community cinema.
We have been delighted with the standard of workmanship and professionalism of the team at d3. They took our ambitions and turned them into reality. We now have a hall that has hosted live music, pantomimes, youth theatre productions and regular community cinema viewings. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of the team at d3.
3. Stornoway Town Hall
Renovation of the island`s Town Hall in 2010 required a solution that not only enabled a credible venue for touring musicians, but also as an event and exhibition space. d3 were engaged by the architect and operated within a tight budget provided by the client. We designed and installed a full frequency RCF speaker system, and a mobile sound desk that utilised a multi-pin connector system for `twist & fix` assembly, making it speedy and easy for non-technical users to set up.
The installation was completed on time and budget, despite delays elsewhere on the project, and d3 provided full training and familiarisation for all equipment, which continues to serve the local community very well.
