Our Process At D3 Audio Visual

To Start Your Audio Visual Task

Since its formation, our process has remained consistent and is the basis of d3’s mission statement: Define / Design / Deliver.

The d3 team always works according to this process, in order to match the needs of our clients:

Define // An initial face-to-face introduction with the client will define the project’s objectives and expectations clearly. This provides us with the technical and commercial information we need, and also gives us a sense of your individual character and personal preferences.

Design // A bespoke specification is created and presented to the client. We then have a `Change of Design Request` (CDR) process, which documents changes and preferences up to the final proposal. This ensures total clarity and understanding for both parties.

Once the project is signed off, we prepare for swift on-site delivery.

Deliver // The entire project is carefully managed by us from design to completion. Relationships are established with other on-site contractors, and a delivery programme is set out according to the agreed schedule.

Once the solution is delivered, d3 provides the relevant technical instruction and on-going support.

The design and build process forms the majority of our work, and the integration of these phases can deliver very real value for our customers.

Not all AV companies are the same

d3 has three tiers of experienced and qualified engineers who are all knowledgeable in the AV, Pro Audio and I.T. sectors. Many AV companies are self-taught, with no formal industry training, and little ability to see evolving solutions. Our team are all qualified through relevant degree programmes, such as the BSc Audio Engineering degree at Perth College, which is where our founders Marc Heath and Andy McCully met.

We have no interest in leaving any project as `average’, whether a small meeting room or a large corporate venue. We design specialist solutions based upon each client’s targeted outcome, whether for executive boardrooms, conference or collaboration suites, unified communications, or IPTV and digital signage distribution, and d3 have delivered single rooms, multiple UK sites and Head Office fit outs.

We have delivered nationally on some of the most necessary and resilient AV solutions to the ‘blue light sector’. This has given us a unique insight as to when cost compromise is necessary and acceptable and when we need to push back and say the compromise will adversely affect the project. If we believe a project is at risk to the stated scope we will say, and explain why, rather than compromise and `fudge` the right solution.
