Audio Visual Solutions For Education Environments

Audio Visual Solutions For The Education Sector Across United Kingdom

We have worked within the education environment for many years to deliver classroom enhanced teaching tools, chill out zones, digital signage and performance space solutions spanning sound, display, stage lighting and control systems.

The education scene in particular, if we can be honest, suffers from a lot of underwhelming AV suppliers… and whilst d3 never suggest we are the cheapest provider – as we are not willing to sacrifice quality equipment or engineering services simply to gain a contract – we will always endeavour to meet a budget, while still delivering something that lifts the user experience.

Perhaps that explains why our longest retained education client has been a customer since 2005, the first year of d3’s operation.

British Institute of Radiology, London - Lecture Theatre Refurbishment

Having hired AV from event companies for a number of years, the British Institute of Radiology (BIR) seized the opportunity to extend its conferencing facilities for its customers on a more permanent, professional and `in house` basis.

Large screen projection was centre stage, with professional audio and AMX control system required for the non-technical users.

Everything was integrated as part of a planned programme of refurbishment in the building and the solution allowed for the in house facility management team to use all equipment, as well as third party event hire companies.

"All the lads from d3 are great to work with. We have really enjoyed the on-going relationship and support over the years."

BIR, Facilities Manager

General Teaching Council for Scotland, Conference and Hearing Suite Refurbishment

The General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) already had a highly evolved set of requirements when they came to d3, in order to facilitate professional presentations and to manage hearing processes that are recorded for evidence purposes.

d3 were successful in bidding to do the design and delivery of the solution, utilising Extron control systems, life size high definition visual communications (HDVC), Audio Technica microphones, C Touch interactive panels, and a Digital Projection projector.

Everything was set up to report back to an internal I.T. helpdesk, reducing performance risks, and making the solutions accessible to non-technical users.

Scottish Football Association

d3 provided interactive screen technology for first team training under the management of the national team by Walter Smith. The equipment was also used as part of the education pack in the community programmes run by the SFA.

The d3 process

d3 have good experience and understanding of the sport training and education environment, having worked in the premiership, rugby union and motor sport spaces.

Whoever the client is, we communicate clearly around the potential solutions at each step, to provide you with total confidence in the outcome.

Since our formation we have always worked to establish and fulfil our clients’ needs according to the following process:

  • Define // An initial introduction, face-to-face with the client, to define the project’s objectives and expectations clearly.

This provides us with the technical and commercial information we need and also gives us a sense of the client’s individual character and personal requirements.

  • Design // We create a bespoke specification for your requirement and present this to you.

We have a `Change of Design Request` (CDR) process, which documents changes and preferences you make up to the final proposal, ensuring clarity for both parties. Once the project is signed off, we prepare for swift on-site delivery.

  • Deliver // The entire project is carefully managed by d3 from design to completion.

Relationships are established with any other on-site contractors and a delivery programme is set out according to your agreed specifications.  Once the solution is delivered, d3 provides the relevant technical instruction and on-going support.
